Background: E-selectin (Endothelial leukocyte adhesion molecule 1/ELAM1/ELAM) belongs to a family of divalent cation-dependent carbohydrate-binding glycoproteins or adhesion molecules. Eselectin is expressed on the surface of endothelial cells and mediates the interaction of leukocytes and platelets with endothelial cells during an inflammatory response.

Description: Recombinant Human E-Selectin is expressed in E. coli containing amino acids 179-557 fused to an amino terminal hexahistidine tag.

Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered clear soultion.

Formulation: Recombinant Human E-Selectin is supplied in 1x Laemmli Buffer (25mM Tris-HCl pH6.8, 50mM DTT, 1%(w/v) SDS, 0.1%(w/v) Bromophenol Blue and 2.5% Glycerol).

Stability: Store at 4 C if entire vial will be used within 1-2 weeks. Store, frozen at -20 C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Applications: Recombinant E-Selectin can be used directly as a positive control in Western blotting, ELISA, immunoprecipitation and other immunological experiments. The biological activity of this product has not yet been tested.

Purity: Greater than 95% (SDS-PAGE). Single band on Western Blot.
