Human Interleukin-29 is purified from E.Coli to achieve a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain with 181 amino acids. Interleukin is a pro-inflammatory cytokine an initiator of cell-mediated immunity. It has antiviral, antiproliferative, and in vivo antitumour activity.
