Description

Recombinant Human NF-kappaB inhibitor alpha (IkappaBalpha)

Source: E.Coli

Background: The NF-kappaB inhibitor, IkappaB, has classically been characterized for its ability to sequester NF-kappaB transcription factors in the cytoplasm.

Description: Recombinant Human I-kappa-Beta-alpha (amino acids 1-317) is produced in E. coli with an aminoterminal polyhistidine tag and purified via sequential chromatography. Recombinant Human I?Ba is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered clear soultion.

Formulation: Recombinant I?Ba is supplied as lyophilized freeze dry powder without additives.

Storage: Store at 4 C if entire vial will be used within 1-2 weeks. Store, frozen at -20 C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity: Greater than 90% (SDS-PAGE).

Biological Activity: Recombinant human NFKBIa (Inhibitor of Nuclear Factor (NF)-?B, a isoform) is phosphorylatable in vitro, using either recombinant active IKKa or IKK , or with immunoprecipitated IKK from stimulated cells. This phosphorylation can be monitored by ELISA directed to I?Ba pS32 or by Western blotting using phosphorylation site specific antibodies directed to I?Ba pS32 or pS36 in conjunction with chemiluminescence detection methods. Please note: Kinase activity may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions.

Usage: BioWORLD's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.
