Human Retinol Binding Protein-1 (Recombinant) is purified from E.Coli to achieve a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain with 220 amino acids (1-197) fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at the N-terminus. As a member of the calycin and fatty-acid binding protein families, it transports retinol from the liver to peripheral tissue.
