Description

Human Retinol Binding Protein-2 (Recombinant) is purified from E.Coli to achieve a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain with 158 amino acids (1-134) fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at the N-terminus. As a member of the calycin and fatty-acid binding protein families, it forms part of the menstrual cycle by moderating retinoic acid supply to endometrial cells. Retinol Binding Protein-2 participates in the uptake and metabolism of Vitamin A.
