PMP2 is a small protein found in peripheral nerve myelin and spinal cord myelin, belongs to a family of fatty acid binding proteins. PMP2 partly decreases the inhibitory effect of T suppressors in the culture of immune lymph node cells. PMP2 protein is a lipid transport protein in schwann cells.

Description

PMP2 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 132 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 14.9 kDa.

Formulation

The PMP2 protein solution contains 20mM Tris pH-7.5, 2mM EDTA, 1mM DTT and 10% glycerol.

Stability

PMP2 although stable 4°C for 4 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
