Synonyms

RAP1B, member of RAS oncogene family, DKFZp586H0723, K-REV, RAL1B, GTP-binding protein smg p21B, Ras family small GTP binding protein RAP1B, RAS-related protein RAP1B, small GTP binding protein.

RAP1B is a member of a superfamily of RAS-like small GTP-binding proteins which takes part in cell signaling. RAP1B owns an intrinsic GTPase activity and is universally expressed in mammalian tissues. The alleged effector domain of Ras proteins, whose integrity is required for cell transformation as well as interaction with the putative effector protein GAP, is conserved in both Rap 1 proteins.

Description

RAP1B produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 201 amino acids (1-181.a.a) and having a molecular mass of 22.6kDa.RAP1B is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
