Description

Recombinant Rubella Virus Capsid C protein

Source E.coli

Background: Rubella virus is an enveloped positive-strand RNA virus of the family TOGAVIRIDAE:
Virions are composed of three structural proteins: a capsid and two membrane-spanning glycoproteins, E2 and E1. During virus assembly, the capsid interacts with genomic RNA to form nucleocapsids.

Description: The protein contains the Rubella Virus Capsid C regions, amino acids: (1-123).

Purification method: Purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity: Protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.

Protein conc: 1mg/ml in 25mM Tris-HCl, 10mM glutation, 0.2% sarcosyl and 50% glycerol.

Storage: Protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -20C.

Stability: Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature.

Specificity: Immunoreactive with sera of Rubella Virus infected individuals.
