Description

Recombinant Urease

Source: Escherichia. Coli

Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Formulation: Each mg of protein contains 370μg Potassium Phosphate and 30μ g EDTA Na2.

Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Human Urease in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 10 mg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability: Lyophilized Urease although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Urease can be stored for 2-7 days at 4°C, for longer store below -18°C. It is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity: Greater than 95.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Anion-exchange FPLC. (c) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.

Biological Activity: The specific activity was found to be 125U/mg powder.

Unit Definition: One Unit oxidizes one micromole of NADH per minute at 25°C, at pH 7.6
