Description

Pepstatin Separopore® (Agarose) 4B-CL

Pepstatin A is a reversible aspartic protease inhibitor which inhibits proteases such as pepsin, chymosin, renin, HIV proteases, and cathepsins D and E. In vitro studies have shown that pepstatin A is is highly specific for HIV proteases.

bioWORLD's Pepstatin Separopore® (Agarose) 4B-CL can be used for the purification of cathepsin, pepsin, bacterial aspartic proteases and HIV proteases. The Pepstatin is immobilized on 4% agarose beads that is covalently coupled to pepstatin through a diaminodipropylamine (DADPA) activated spacer arm and has a binding capacity of 1.5-2 mg pepsin per mL of settled gel.

Note: Separopore® is a cost-effective equivalent to Sepharose® in all of its physical properties and binding characteristics.
