Description

L-Ascorbic Acid, or more commonly known as Vitamin C, is a calcium channel inhibitor. Vitamin C is also a powerful antioxidant and mild reducing agent. Ascorbic Acid is an important vitamin used to encourage cell growth when in culture.

Solutions of Ascorbic Acid are light-sensitive and will quickly oxidize. It is best to prepare a fresh solution each time to minimize oxidation. Ultra Pure Ascorbic Acid is of >99% purity and tested extensively for impurities.

Vitamin C is a component of MUSA (Banana) Multiplication Medium for plant tissue culture.
