Description

G418 sulfate, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, is related to gentamicin. G418 is toxic to both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. It is used primarily for the selection of eukaryotic expression vectors bearing the related resistance genes. Recommended concentration varies by cell type.
