Description

Pectoylase Y23, or Pectin Lyase, is a highly purified enzyme from Aspergillus japonicus. It contains endopolygalacturonase and enopectin lyase for maceration of plant cells. Pectolyase Y23 is commonly used in protoplast isolation protocols.

High quality Pectolyase Y23 has an activity of >1 KU/g. One unit will liberate 1 µmol per minute of Galacturonic acid from Polygalacturonic acid, when the action is performed at pH 5.5 and 25°C.

A comprehensive, easy-to-use Protoplast Isolation Kit is available for purchase.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
