Description

Cellulase (EC 3.2.1.4) is an enzyme used to isolate intact cells and protoplasts from plant tissue that is derived from Trichoderma viride. Hydrolyzes 1,4-glucosidic linkages in cellulose, lichenin and cereal beta-D-glucans. This enzyme has an activity of 300,00u/g (300u/mg) and is suitable for use at temperatures of 30-60°C and pH 4.0-5.5. One unit of enzyme activity is defined as the amount of enzyme that produces 1 mg of reducing sugar (as glucose) by hydrolyzing the substrate CMC within 1 hour at 50℃ and pH 4.8, expressed as u/g.
