HEPPSO Buffer 0.2M, pH 7.5

HEPPSO or ((2-Hydroxyethyl)-piperazine-N-2-hydroxypropanesulfonic acid) is a zwitterionic hydrogen buffer widely used for biological research. It is often referred to as a Good's buffer. HEPPSO is an efficient separator in protein resolution by IEF. The buffer solution is prepared by adding the free acid to water and then titrating it with sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide to obtain the desired pH.
