Description

PBS (Phosphate-Buffered-Saline) is provided as a powder to prepare 1 L of 10X PBS. This buffer has a number of biological uses, including Western blotting. For applications where other ions are necessary such as Calcium or Magnesium, precipitation is likely to occur.

To prepare 10X PBS, dissolve 1 pack in 1 L of distilled water. Adjust pH, filter, and sterilize as desired. To achieve a 1X working concentration, dilute 100 mL of 10X PBS in 900 mL of distilled water.
