M9 Minimal Salts 5X, Dry Powder

M9 Minimal Salts are used to make M9 Minimal Medium for the culture of recombinant E.coli. M9 Minimal Salts may also be used for maintenance of F'-containing strains of E. coli with M13 single-stranded, filamentous bacteriophage. This minimal medium contains only a basic Nitrogen source and salts for growth.

M9 Minimal Salts should be dissolved at 56.4 g/L in distilled water. pH of the prepared medium is 6.8. Glucose, Glycerol, amino acids, and vitamins should be supplemented as desired.
