Description

Abscisic Acid, also known as ABA, is a naturally occuring plant stress hormone that also facilitates the plant's stress response. By slowing growth and preventing transpiration, ABA helps plants survive drought and cold winter conditions. It is thought this plant growth hormone is also key in establishing symbiotic relationships with fungi. Research is still being done into the natural use of Abscisic Acid in mammals, where it has proved to be an effective stress signaling molecule.

ELISA, HPLC, and gas chromatography can all be used to determine the concentration of ABA in plant samples. At >95% purity, bioWORLD's Abscisic Acid is ready to to be used in all of your research applications.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
